Default Most efficient way to ship wheels/tires?

Anyone have suggestions of shipping four wheels/tires domestically? UPS had quoted $260...doesn't sound right. They are just 215/45/17 with 17x7.5 Enkeis.

Probably the best way is to ship in four seperate boxes and go with USPS. I shipped a box a month ago across the U.S. close to the weight and size of one wheel plus tire for around $30.

last time i bought wheels with tires already mounted the guy sent them to me two per box, stacked on top of each other with a couple layers of insulating foam between them and around the outside to take up space. i think he said it was around $150 to ship them through ups.
