Default Mods

I am about to turn sixteen and drive my 99 civic ex coupe which I bought with my own hard-earned money.
I want to put an intake, headers, exhaust, other small performance mods on it. Could anyone give me advice on what brand of parts I should get and where I should get them for the best price.

I'll be a nice guy and reply ;-)

For future reference in case you didn't know, your engine code is D16Y8. So when you post future questions, mention which engine code you are working with, you'll get more responses.

Now, your performance mods. Have you considered turbocharging your car? That's your best bet for the engine you are working with. If you would like to stay away for turbochargers, there is still plenty of mods you can do.

Intake, Header, and Exhaust is a good place to start. I'm not going to type for the next 20 minutes on how to build a SOHC VTEC engine, so I'll leave the research up to you. Just use the "Search" function in the web site... you can learn a lot!

Good luck with the EX.
