Mac Compression on the street?
Assuming a street driven car with .400 lift cams, what's the most compression you could safetly get away with on 93 octane. I'm currently at 11:1 now and I'm seriously considering throwing some 12.5:1 slugs in there. A compression check currently yields 200 psi accross the board. Opinions?
Thanks for all of the quick responses all. I ordered the 12.5:1 pistons, rings and rod bearings this morning. I made 179whp and 137 ft lb tq before at 11:1 compression. Hopefully the squeeze increase along with a lighter flywheel will help me reach my goal of 200+ at the wheels with around 145-150 ft lb of tq.
