Default LubeGuard (Auto Trans additive)?

Looking for feedback about the automatic transmission additive called LubeGuard?

I heard that it was recommended for Honda's with automatic transmissions.

I found two types (grey and red bottles) at the local NAPA store, so I wasn't sure which one to buy.

The first was a friction-modifier that listed a few vehicle manufacturers, including Honda, on the back label. The second didn't mention any manufacturers, but claimed to reduce temperature, etc...

Does anyone know the differences between the two?

Are they snakeoil?

Thanks!

Honda ATF already has a friction modifier in the Z1 additive, so I'm not sure that you need Lubeguard. Unless your tranny is slipping, I don't see a need for Lubeguard. Just drain and refill your fluid every 15K-25K miles and you should be fine.
