Default lsd tranny good or bad?

I've always been told that an lsd tranny is the way to go. More power to the wheels, better launch with less wheel spin, better for cornering etc. I've got an LSD tranny myself on my H22. Now latlely I've been hearing other wise. I've been hearing that LSD actually lowers whp, especially on the dyno it's been proven that non-lsd trannies have higher whp than a car with lsd. So doesn't that mean that there's less power to the wheels, making you infact slower, but causing you to launch better, becuase of a lower whp. I know for circuit/track racing it gets you around turns better, but in terms of actual drag racing 1/4 mile how does LSD benefit you. Can someone please give me some insight on this.

Precisely from who did you hear that a LSD will rob HP from your car?

Hit them with a cluebat. They're dead wrong.
