I am gonna post this in a couple forums cause not to shure whos gonna know the answer. I have a Kaaz LSD and i cant find any parts stores around here that have the lsd additive that i need for it. I was thinking that the type-r teg's use a lsd tranny but i dont know if its a clutch type like my kaaz. I was wondering if i could use the type-r tranny fluid for my kaaz lsd..... If not in gonna call around to some shops in the area to see if they have any.. I was told to use 80-90w fluid with an lsd additive for the kaaz lsd or use the fluid from their site.

 

No, the Type-R LSD is a helical gear LSD, and uses standard Honda transmission fluid. You'll need to use the fluid recommended by Kaaz, as far as I know.

well I just installed a Kaaz LSD in my JDM s1 transmission
and I used Motual 90pa costed hell less then Kaaz's fluid

I got fine for about 20 shipped to me
and the kaaz fluid is like 50 bucks w/o shipping

I was told by a spokeperson from kaaz that they add a additive to quiet down the chatter the Lsd makes

but I still have heard anything from mine so I guess it work also

 

Its just like a Honda car, use genuine honda parts. It is the best measure of protection by using what the manufacture suggests. Use the KAAZ fluid for a KAAZ differential. That is just my .02 Do it right the first time and save the headaches.
