I had a friend of the family build me a LS/vtec motor. but i had one question. Instead of installing a T fitting on the oil line at the block he just has a direct line. The question is, should I be worried about this or is it just a line to the in-dash dummy light?

 

it's just the oil light in your dash!!!

oil pressure sensor; should T off to an oil pressure gauge to keep an eye on that oil pressure also--don't need to though.

 

make sure any connection to hte block via the VTEC oil line is secured at hte firewall or under hte intake to ensure htat hte block is not stressed.

the alloy block can break at the sensor location if a loose oil line is left flapping around...
