i have a ls vtec 94 integra with a b16 head.. i'm using a 94 gsr stock ecu.. and as you guys know it looks for the knock sensor... i recently bought a knock sensor.. but it didn't came with a plug or anything.. i don't know how to hook it up to my ecu... i know that i belongs to d3 on the ecu.. and i tried using a simple wire and try to hook the wire to the knock and stick the other end to the ecu.. but it is still not working... i was wondering with anybody with expierience help me with this problem... thank you..

 

run with the civic ecu it has no knock sensor vtec will work fine but make sure its a chip ecu 92-95 ecu civic ex or si.

 

would anybody know if i can just install the knock sensor and just leave it out...

some gsr's have two knock sensor run the sensor to pin d3@ecu. or you will definetly get a code23 and no vtec

I have never heard of that.

If you are running a wire to the ecu, you need to crimp a pin onto it, and install it into the harness appropriatly. No, you can not just leave the KS hanging. Do a search I beleive some ppl install it into the alternator bracket...
