Default ls vtec head studs

i have a b18b short block out of a 90 integra and a complete 92 b17a1. the bottom end in the b17 is dead (too much bottle) so it is time to build a new engine. i was thinking of using the b17 head with the b18b block. i have heard of people having problems with head studs lining up as well as cooling holes. another problem i have heard about is clearance in the cylinders. does anyone know of these problems with this set up? has anyone tried this set up? any help you can give me is great.

cool thanks, what i mean by cylinder clearance is between the valves and pistons.

i used a stock ls block and b16 head with advanced intake cam...I did expierence the smallest hint of valves tapping...be careful if your not gonna change the pistons and do not use adj. cam gears if you use a stock bottom end.
good luck

The valve relief cups on the LS pistons aren't big enough for the B16A valves. It's especially a problem with resurfaced head, or thin headgasket.
