Default Can you use a GSR oil pickup in an LS block???? HELP!!

Can you use a GSR oil pickup in an LS block???? HELP!!

Are they same or do they differ. I know that the b16 is different but is the ls different than the GSR. I have an LS block and thought that since I dont have the windage tray and pick up that I would use the B16 cause like the LS they dont have the block girdle like the gsr and type R. Yeah well that didnt work. The gsr one lines up but just wanna make sure it will all work.

This is the parts I have I have a b16 windage tray and pick up and a gsr windage tray and pick up what combo if any should I use???

gsr and ls pickups have different part numbers so im guessing they wont work

you're going to need a gsr windage tray and oilpan if you want to use it's pickup

well the GSR pick us lines up perfect with the holes on the block to bolt right on. And for the oil pan I am running the moroso. I was thinking since I dont have a block gridle like the gsr's do to run a b16 windage tray cause they dont have the girdle either. The b16 oil pickup doesnt even come close. But the GSR it bolts up to all 4 mounting points and clears the pan and girdle. Any more input on this????

Maybe this can help: I have a gsr motor w/ a LS pan from moroso (old one) I have gsr windage tray and the ls pickup,,,,,BUT,,,,, the ls pickup didn't fit right,,,,, I had to cut Stock GSR bracket and weld it to the Morso LS pickup to work.. Hopefully I make sense, if not good luck.

Found it out. The LS and the B16 pick up are the same. The long leg ones. The GSR and Type R are the same shorth leg ones. Same goes for windage trays. So if you are using an ls then you need a b16 or LS windage tray since neither of them have the block girdle. it all make sense now!!!
