low voltage/temperature guage acting up
my voltage reading is around 11.7 and when i drive my car, after about 15 minutes the temperature guage on my clusted starts to go up and down from operating temp to high. it stays at operating temp when im on the gas but when its cruising but still in gear, the needle bounces up till i put it in neutral. what could cause a low voltage reading and my temperature guage to act up? somebody help.
Some of the flakiest problems are bad grounds. Check the bundle of wires grounded at the thermostat housing.
I probably don't have a wiring drawing for your car (what year/model???) so I can't be more specific.

Honda always puts a lot of ground wires on the thermostat housing. Follow the lower radiator hose back to the engine, it's there. There would be other grounds buried in the dashboard (near fusebox??), but I don't know the details.
