hey guys i tried searchin but the new search kinda blows lol but i got the GSR in my hatch about 3 weeks ago. ran fine except for a IAC issue but nothing major. Its a bone stock JDM GSR. The head has never been removed only the valve cover. Well i went to crank it the other night and heard a loud tick comin from under the valve cover. at first i was just thinking it needed a valve adjustment but i dunno it sounds like its comin from cylinder number 2 like its just a single valve or something. What could have caused this? Could it be a bent valve?? I havent really had time to check anything. Could i compression test tell me if its a bent valve?

 

here is what i would do in order, check valve lase, make a determination, move on to checking lma's, then if things r still good in the hood do a leak down test and listen to leakage past valves, or invest in a loud radio to mask the noise.
