Default lots of problems. Take a look please!

k from the begining. 2000 civic si
i had a jackson last fall, good kit. i was sitting in a parking lot and all of a sudden the idle dropped and it started running like ****, low idle, hesitation, and boggy. i pulled the plugs and it looked like cylinder 4 had no fuel. it didn't, i pulled the injectors, had them bench tested, all were fine, tested the injector wires for signal, all were fine. i never threw a code ????????? i didn't want the jackson anymore so i pulled it off, and kinda hoped that the engine funk was caused by the jackson electronics. i put it back together more stockish, fired it up, same problem, no fuel in cylinder 4, the plug is totally clean, no signs of combustion. this time i threw codes, code 72 and 74. misfires in cylinders 2 and 4. and the CEL blinks when the car runs.
If you have any input, it would be great.
Thanks.

If you are absoulutely positive no fuel is reaching the #4 cylinder then take the most logical approach.. I would believe the injectors are receiving signal since no code for the fuel injection system is being stored...

assuming the #4 injector is firing, fuel is being fed into the intake, intake valves open allowing fuel to enter the combustion chamber.. you must determine if these valves are opening allowing fuel to enter.. I have seen egr deposits as thick as tar restrict(not completly block) fuel flow via the manifold ports but wouldn't suspect it in your case cause your car is fairly new..

Take of the valve cover and check the operation of the #4 valves while manually rotating the motor..this may give you a clue..

Another idea would be to take carb cleaner and spray directly into the intake to free up any carbon deposit buildup you may have.. and possibly any stuck valves.. Intake manifolds are shaped the way they are to create the most effecient "vortex" of air/fuel mixture and any restriction could mess up that mixture.. its a slim chance but may be worth the small effort..

the CEL blinks when the car runs.
If you have any input, it would be great.
The CEL blinking while the engine runs means that there is a catalyst damaging misfire in progress. Usually a problem with the secondary side of the ignition system.
