Default like frame locks.. but not really

I guess these were around first, but anyway...

Anyone ever see/use these before? Im still up in the air as to weather or not frame locks are a scam, and this works of the same theory, no?

Am I missing something? What are those supposed to do?

Frame locks brace the front frame rails from left to right. Those brackets are mounted no where near the frame rails, nor do they connect the left and right side.

there is real science behind those and options2 which did a series of road tests on a 180sx equipped with those gave them thumbs up

my cage builder sugested the idea to me when building my last cage to do something similar as well.

I would first spend money on bracing the front of the rails like traction bars before the sides

If it were me I would have a l welder simply place a solid rod between the 2 front tow hooks

Usually frame locks are placed in key stress locations, aside from the fat chicks that lean on my fender at streetraces, I don't see how that area could be stressed.

Maybe the torque from the engine moves the sheet metal?

You know? You're right, that's absolutely right! I have always noticed that everytime I launch, my doors seem to flex from all the stress caused by my motor which is bolted directly to my door hinges. I should've thought of this idea a long time ago, then it would have saved me the headache of replacing all those bent fenders and doors.
