Default lag at vtec crossover point?

Hey all,

Here's my situation: my b16a civic seems to lag when accelerating at the vtec crossover point. it doesn't happen always though. i don't have any electronics to alter the x-over point. it feels like when i accelerate its fine till vtec, then at xover point +- a few hundred RPM it kinda hits a plateau then accelerates again once past that point. fuel pressure set at 41 with vacuum attached. any ideas?

5g civic ex, b16a, intake, exhaust, hi-flow cat, fuel pressure regulator, nos 55 wet shot.

Is this while squeezing or while just running dry?

Fuel pressure at 41 w/ vacuum attached is HIGH. My JDM B16A is set at 28 w/ the vacuum attached, which is, I believe, the stock setting...

it is while running dry... 41 is the fuel pressure to set the b16 to. i believe i've read it on this board previously.
