Default k&n breather

I installed my Ice box,I misplaced the hose for my breather going from my valve cover.I replaced it with a K&N breather.I was told the motor does not properly breath with this filter any info on this?

it just isn't smog legal in some states.......You did place the breather on the valve cover correct?

Yes it is true the head will not breath well with those stupid filters. They also get oil soaked if you rev high because oil shoots out of that hold. You need the tube that connects to the intake on there to keep air flowing. Ive seen pcv valves go bad a lot faster without proper ventilation flow. Just get a replacement hose at pep boys or something or use a piece of fuel hose. If you are still going to use that crappy filter make sure you plug the nipple the hose used to go to on the intake.

Thanks guys.I plugged the hole on the intake.But thanks again,I'm gonna stop at pep boys ASAP.

The K&N one doesnt take heat to well either. it usally gets a big crack on the rubber connecting part.
