i have a stock b16a2 bottom with itr cams, im, tb, and some cam gears and wanted to know that if i get new pistons with higher CR do i need rods or in that case any thing else to be on the safe (reliable daily driver 92octane) side?

you should be fine......I would make sure the rings are good quality and look at getting new rods in the future.....PLEASE make sure you are buying forged pistons.
Yes, Spade is right you should be ok. If you like to rev though, and somtimes even over rev, upgrade your valve train since the piston to valve clearance will be much smaller and in case of over reving the engine it will be much easier to make the valves hit the piston. Other than that I would consider tunning it properly on the dyno.
what about w/some itr valves would that be a nice upgrade with some rods? or is not worth the $$? im not gonna get a new ecu to rev higher and have the msd set at 8000 and never (knock on wood) over rev??
