Jack point on front of car...
I have recently acquired a floor jack (it's sweet) and some 3 ton jack stands. When rasing the back, I can just put it under the tow hook, raise the whole back end and place the stands under.
IS there a specific place on the front, besides the points on the sides after the front wheel well? I felt around for the frame, and it feels solid, but I like to ask questions before I break something.
Or must I put the jack where the scissor jack goes on both sides?
thanks so much

nope in the middle theres the frame where u jack it up, on my teg it says "jack here" ect...the splash guard is covering it though...just get it on something solid then but jackstands on and ur okay...
be careful with putting a piece of wood there. I did that a few times but then once I did it and it slipped along the splash guard and the jack slipped out and nearly tore out my bumper lip and the radiator frame.
Just put it on the splash guard. You wont ever see where the crush point is.

the oil pan is not a recommended place for car jacking. There is a central jacking point at the front frame just behind the radiator. you can use the oilpan to support the engine but put a block of wood under it to distribute the pressure or you will definitely damage the oilpan with just the jack under it.
