Default ITR ECU in Civic Si

I have instaled in my Civic Si ITR cams and some other stuf! I want to upgrade my ECU with ITR ECU. I tried to start the engine with ITR ECU but nothing, like I would be without gas. HELP!!!

I'm assuming you're using a US 00-01 ITR ecu, correct?

If so, and you haven't had the IMMobilizer removed yet, of course your car will not start. The IMM needs to be removed if you want to use the ecu, otherwise its completely useless.

If you've had it removed, then you need to perform an ECU pinout adjustment. All 99-00 civics need this pinout adjustment when using any US 00-01 integra ecu (because of the IMM)

Move pinout A16 to A15 (fuel pump relay) and your car should start.

Well I have 96 EU Civic (VTI - EK4 B16A2) to be precise and a 97-98 EU ITR ECU. Is IMM removal the only way or is there a way to bypass IMM power with constant 12V or something?
We tried OBD2-OBD1 conversion on ITR with Civic cables and car starts normaly, so fuel pump relay pin is not a problem.

doh! european spec...
I believe you can just plug n' play the ITR ecu in your 96 VTi, if i'm not mistaken....or do 96 eu ITR ecu's have an IMM ?

ITR ECU and my Civic have IMM. How do I remove IMM? Unsolder it? http://pgmfi.org/resources/FAQ...r.jpg

heh, my ecu images are whored out on PGMfi.org.

yeah, you can unsolder it, very carefully though.
Infact, you might want to try swapping IMM's. I'm not sure if this fully works, but it wouldnt hurt to try it

Yes, it is for 00-01 Integra ECU's.
But for prelude ecu's (P5M) that are IMM equipped, once the IMM is removed the car still will not start, unlike integra ecu's which WILL start. I personally haven't found a fix for the P5M ecu's yet...

I wanted to ask you - What about swaping the IMM? You already answerd me! I will try to swap it. Is IMM the whole small plate out of mainboard or just small black chip on this small plate?

it the only green small squarish chip which is standing up vertically near the side of casing.

Well, dyno test was a small disaster. ITR ECU is O.K. There was "only" 5 HP difference over a stock ECU with VAFC.
And my problem. Last week I changed ITR factory exhaust manifold with DC 4-1 JDM and I still have factory exhaust because my new custom made exhaust isn`t finished yet. Dyno result was with stock ECU and VAFC 141,9whp with ITR ECU 146,4whp. Befor I changed EM and with stock ECU 158,6whp!
I hope I`ll get my exhaust soon. And I hope that the DC JDM 4-1 isn`t a bit too much for my engine. What do you think? Oh, exhaust will be straight 2,5" with perforated mufler.
