itr in 3g problems

itr in eg problems
i have a 92 eg with a 99 itr swap.
its bone stock the only change i have done is changed the fuel pressure reg from the itr to a gsr cause it was leaking. now it seams to lagg alot in the top end. im adding an adjustable fuel reg 2marrow but was wondering if the fuel pump would have anything to do with it? its the stock pump that came in a 92 cx civic. i have a stock pump from a 99 si civic would that be better? please give me some help on what to check out to get my itr running right
