integra knock sensor-92-93? yay or nay
92-93 integra obd-1 does it accept knock sensor? just curious. my 93 motor has a knock and I have a 92 spoon ecu i just recieved. but everywhere i searchit doesn't say for the 92-93. i know for 94-95 you have to ground one wire and run the other to d3. is this also tru for 92-93? thanks

only 92-93 GSR's or any DOHC VTEC model would have a KS.
LS/GS models do not have a KS.

its a sensor in the upper most back area of the block that detects knock/detonation/pinging (all mean the same thing) in your engine. Usually pinging occurs when you have low octane fuel or if you have a high compression engine and run low octane fuel that won't burn hot enough. When the KS detects this, it tells the ecu to pull back on timing to protect the engine. Prolonged knock can destroy a engine, although I've never seen this happen with a Honda engine.
The thing is, the factory Honda KS is WACK, and it doesn't hurt if this sensor is disabled through reprogramming of the ecu. There are better aftermarket KS's out there though.

hmmm.. well in the back of the block there is a 2 prong sensor with a greem/white wire and black wire. it is located right next to the oil pressure sensor, just to the left of it

Hey nephew, the subject here is the 92-93 integra engine(s), not the whole friggin' honda engine lineup. Your LS does not have a KS from the factory. The sensor you *think* is a KS is not. It's an oil temp sensor or coolant temp sensor. And yes, you're right, all OBD2/96+ SOHC engine have a KS.
