Default Intake Sensor

I just installed an air intake in a 2001 Civic LX coupe, there was no plug
in for the temperature sensor, the car is running ok, it make a cool growl.
What do I do about the sensor? Is it necessary for the car? The intake
does not have a temperature sensor port. Do I need to cut a hole and
insert the sensor in the intake?

Default Re: Intake Sensor (supernova)

It sounds like you got a cheapo intake... The emissions controll system in the car will not function properly without a proper reading for the intake air. Check with leading intake manufacture like AEM to see if they still use the sensor. Regardless, you would be better off installing it anyways rather than just let it hang off the throttlebody.
