Default intake question

i have the stock air intake on my civic and i am wondering if i take the white box out from behind the bumper..will i notice any performance gain? and you know how there is a tube running from the air filter box to the white box?? would i leave that in or take that out also with the white box? if i leave it in...it would be kinda like an icebox air intake cause it would still pull air from the bumper area.

im pretty sure your'e talking about the intake resonator, if you take it out its gonna be alittle louder. i would recommend just getting a CAI (which requires removing the resonator anyways) or a k&n filter on your factory tubing

I dont think you will gain HP,might as well just build a home made cold air system.Take the box out and go to home depot and get some tubing for the dryers.Stick that near the whole on your bumper and run it into your intake.Make sure it has the filter though.
