installing Clutch???
can anyone help me w/ installing a clutch, like just the basics would be fine, maybe a FAQ or something... i havent started b/c the clutch isnt here but i have no idea at all.... so if ne one... many thanks!
1. jack the car up and take the tires off
2. take both axles out + half shaft
3. remove air intake and remove starter
4. remove slave cylinder
5. disconnect any connectors and grounds that are attached to the tranny
6. remove motor mount that connects to the tranny (remember to support the tranny with a jack, little brother or girlfriend)
7. remove bolts holding the tranny to the motor approx. 6 bolts
8. let the jack down and seperate the tranny from the motor, this may be a little annoying. sometimes they don't come apart so easy.
9. remove clutch
10. remove flywheel and get it resurfaced before installing new clutch.
short and sweet but i hope it helps you get and idea of what your about to do. it can be time consumming and you'll get really dirty. it takes me about 6-7 hrs. to do from start to driving.

It's pretty tough! So i hope you know what you are doing and there are a crap load of bolts to open up the tranny. I'd say give yourself at least 4-6 hours to do the job and I am hoping someone is helping you and you have power tools. Good luck!

yeah, i have power tools, and i should be able to find some help... but still i have a easier situation.. the motor is sitting in my garage... its not put in yet. im trying to do all the work before i drop it in... so you say just take off the trans and go from there?
