Default injector - LS/GSR & OBDI/OBDII

Hello All,

In looking through the archives I've found confirmation that OBDI and OBDII injectors are compatible, on a seperate thread I found that OBDI LS injectors are interchangeable with OBDII GSR Injectors (both are 240cc)

SO.. can someone please confirm that OBDII LS injectors are identical to OBDI GSR injectors.

I am running an 95 GSR (OBDI) engine in an EK civic (OBDII). OBDII harness, Distributor, Alternator and using OBDII LS injectors to bypass splicing the OBDI injector connector plugs.

thanks all.

No, they are not. The OBD2 injector has a bit of a different plug on it than the OBD1.

This is why, when you purchase injectors from RC, you have to buy the adapter harness for the OBD1 style injectors and wire them into your OBD2 car.

uhm.. to clarify. I know that they have a different plug, this is actually why I'm asking the question..

If both the OBDI GSR and OBDII LS injectors are the same: i.e. both 240CC peak and hold or saturated (which one?) and looking for the same impedance etc..

As long as they are the SAME in terms of performance specs above, I'm not concerned with whether the plugs/connectors are the same.

yes they are compatible. yes they are the same in flow ratings 240 cc's. the only difference is the plug/connector. think about this when people with 96 and up cars use the obd 1 to obd 2 convertor harness so they can run an obd 1 ecu do you ever see them switching to obd 1 injectors? hope that cleared things up for you.

They are saturated. Yes, the both flow the same, but you need the adapter to put OBD1 into an OBD2 car. I guess I didn't clairfy myself.
