Default info on piggybacks and standalone

I'm looking for info or a good website on piggyback vs. standalone management systems and the differents types. If you have any experience with either a standalone or a piggyback I'd appreciate your input.

OK, how about this. Say I wanna drop in some ITR pistons, and a VTEC head onto my b18b engine. Should I get and AEM EMS with wideband O2 or maybe just a factory ECU with maybe a Apexi VAFC? Anyone wanna help me out please?

more info needed. What is your setup. Are those the only changes? What are you trying to achieve?
