93 civic w/ obd1 jdm h22a running auto p13
the problem is common, after the motor warms up it has a surging idle where the rpm's would go up and down between 1000-1500. ive ready read through numerous threads on how to fix it by cleaning out the iacv or tightening the screw in the fitv. ive performed both tasks and completed with bleeding the coolant system but still ended w/ the same surging idle. not to long ago i got a hold of a chipped p06 w/ an h22a basemap. with this ecu the motor runs normal w/o any surging idle, only problem is that vtec support wasnt properly installed onto the ecu so i have no vtec (throws code 21). im wondering why my chipped p06 doesnt cause the surging idle but my p13 does.
ps: the p06 doesnt have iab support.
