Hey guys,
People have been hogging knowledge about certain things and I’m pretty sick of it. I guess because people have spent a couple years gathering knowledge about how to troubleshoot ecu boards they become very possessive about what they’ve learned and do not want to share anything. Instead they would rather charge people for their services. You are wack and shall remain nameless.
Lets get back on topic to reason I wrote this thread. Is there anyone here that can offer some tips on how to troubleshoot the various components on a ecu pcb. I’m talking about components such as traces, resistors, capacitors, transistors and cold soldered joint on IC chips. I have a couple bad boards that I have been troubleshooting with no luck and I just need some general help on trouble shooting components on the board.
Thanks
-Avery

Before you'll be able to do that you'll need some basic knowledge about electronics. This isn't something someone can just quickly tell you. I'd suggest getting a book or reading online.

sworkofdoom thank you for the response. Sometimes a simple google search can answer some questions.
In response to HRTuning. I think I have some basic knowledge on electronics. For example I know what Ohms law is and I know how transistors and capacitors work. I also know the basics about Pulse Width Modulation. But troubleshooting is a skill that I am still working on.
