Default How safe to downshift a B20-VTEC ..........

i have heard that if ya miss-shift a B20VTEC it can cause serious harm ( such a bent valves , etc ) ...... I was wondering how safe is it to downshift a B20VTEC and apply the power hard ......
for those of you who don't understand ....here is an example .... you are at the track on the straight speed up to 140+kph (in 3rd or 4th gear ) , approaching a hard right hand corner , you late brake and downshift on entering the corner, and start to ease brake pressure . When you release the clutch your car is near the apex so time to apply power , you flat you accelerator foot .

Can the B20VTEC take this kind of pounding ?
Can stronger valve springs help the life of the motor ?

are the crv pistons stock, cause the valve reliefs arent the size of the vtec valves, under 8000 rpm, no prob, rpm is rpm, as long as it isnt over revved, you shouldnthave any probs, and yes stiffer valvesprings can and will extend the life of you motor, espicislly if you miss shifts alot.

Keep in mind this is a quick answer, since i am typing with 1 hand (LCA bolt went through right middle finger, 11 stiches and plenty of hydrocodone) but since this is a quick answer, that means thast there are many more varibles that can go into what your taling about, but, you should be fine if the motor never sees more than 8000 rpm.
