how do you remove PCV?
I have a 97 civic ex d16y8, read that i should replace the pcv valve about every 30,000 miles, how do you get to them to replace it?
I also heard that if you shut off or close off the egr you get increased performance. If that is true how to you do that?? Thanks

The PCV is #3 in this pic. Follow the vacuum hose down through the front of the intake manifold. The hose ends at the PCV which is stuck into what looks like a black tuna can. To remove the PCV, just grab it and yank it out. It's only held in with pressure. It's a bitch to get at though, especially if you still have an intake manifold brace.
If you've gone 30k on the same PCV, it would be a good idea to replace, or at least check it. They get gummed up over time and the ball bearing inside tends to freeze up.

That's kind of true. The EGR is both good and bad, but I don't feel the need to get into it because luckily your motor doesn't come with an EGR. You lucked out
