How do u find out what year is an engine from?
I'm noticing in the chilton book that there is a different spark plug gap for the B18C1 for different years. So i was wondering how do i find out what year is my B18C1 from?
I think its obd2 cuz the dizzy has only one plug. yet my car is a 94 civic but it seems to be working fine.

http://www.fastss.net/images/sale/head2.jpg look at that image.. u see the castings on the head? the first two sets of numbers are the year then month the motor was made.. for example 9/2 0/4 2/0 1/0 meaning this motor was made in april of 92. if the month is 7 and up add a year to the motor. hope this helps

First digit 2 is '95, etc... If the first digit is 0 I think that means its a replacement engine that wasn't installed into a car at the factory.
