how do i repair something that has been cross threaded?

i know that have tools to tap the stripped threads. but, i'm wondering how well this tool works.
works great. get a good tap and die set and use the proper sized tap and you wont have any other problems.
its kinda like a replacement thread, its an insert, u have to drill and tap the original hole a lil larger and than u put a heli-coil in that is the same size thread as the original
heli-coil is the best way, but depending on where its at, they make some awsome epoxys that you could fill in and drill and tap to the original size, but i wouldn't do that on any load bearing surfaces.
