how to change front and side engine mounts
well the rear mount is kinda pain in the ***... i had to switch my rear mount on my civic, ( was using almost the correct one when swapping my B18 in...
) Basically , you have to take out the engine....I was able though to undo the major stuff and lift it out just enough to pull the old one off and put the new one on, without unplugging all the wiring and all that crap to make it a little easier....
but it took a while.

When I dropped in the motor, we didn't really drop the motor into the car....we dropped teh car onto the motor. Doing it this way was simpler in some ways, but it prevented me from pre-mounting the rear mount bracket onto teh block first. It never would have cleared the steering rack.
I had to put the engine on two jacks and undo all the side mounts all over again so that I could push the engine forward.
Even after doing this tho, I still didn't have enough clearance, so I had to remove the heater coolant hoses that feed into teh firewall just above the rear mount. The problem here is that you can't simply pry or pull the hoses off....they're stuck on there pretty tight. You don't wanna use pliers either b/c it'll crush the pipe. So, you have to take a razor and slit the hoses and pull them off.
The next issue is finding replacement hoses for the two you had to cut. Turned out to be quite a pain b/c the hoses are pre-formed into the shape they need to be in and the Acura dealer couldn't find the part in the parts diaghrams. I had to use one from a RX-7 that already had a pre-formed bend in the hose with the same angle.
