Default Hondata information needed.... Doing turbo setup!!!HELP

ok i was just looking for the hondata s200 on ebay.. and i came across one... but it says this (To use a Hondata system it is required that an OBDI ECU is used. Note an OBD1 distributor must be used.

OK I am building a 90 integra OBD0. I was going to get a jumper for the ECU and do a OBD1 ECU. But then reading that I am wondering what to do.. I want a on board setup... i am using a fully built 91 ls motor and i am doing turbo... HELP!!!!

you can email me at AcuraOCD@comcast.net

thanks

you could try the stages rather than the S200. I had a stage 3 and i believe you could use something like that for your setup. Check out the hondata.com and read up on the stages. You will find more info there.

It's really not all that difficult to convert to OBDI. All you need to do is swap connector so that you can run an OBDI/II dizzy on your nonOBD harness, everything else is pretty straight forward. Search around if you want some more in depth detail. I've covered this many times on here. Also, if you're not interested in wiring it yourself, I'm pretty much always available...

Here's a few pics of a nonOBD-OBDI setup that I made for Will's (WillieWillieFast) SFWD Rex a couple years back, we had to do this because he was also running S200.

Tearing down the factory nonOBD harness, slightly reworked here...

Completed nonOBD-OBDI jumper.

Completed nonOBD-OBDI engine harness.

Why go through the hassle of converting and spending money on a EMS? Check out http://www.turboedit.org .Its a standalone system specifically setup for obd0 ecus only. Also check out http://www.xenocron.com for instructions on how to chip and chip kits you can do yourself.

Oh and its free!!

Very easy.Definatly easier then rewiring to obd1.Make sure you d/l the ng55.bin file and the stock pr4.bin file.Thats the stock map for a 90 Gen 2.Order a chip kit from Xeno thats comes with 2 reusable chips,ZIFsocket which allows you to change chips without soldering in and out evrytime you burn a new one.And it comes with a datalogging header that can be used with ECUcontrol for datalogging. Check out his site for more info on how to make your own basemap from scratch.Or he can burn one for you if you give him the setup you are running. Its pretty straightforward. There is also a lot of assistance that can be provided for TE at http://www.homemadeturbo.com and http://www.pgmfi.org.Let me know if you have trouble making a basemap.
