Wondered if the J series Honda engines were reverse rotation?

I've just throw a rod in my B series, offroad race car and wish to replace it with something of a bigger capacity. The V6 would mate to this car nicely.

Reverse is relative... but yes, the J-series rotates the opposite direction of the B-series.

what type of chassis and transmission are you using/planning to use?

 

I run a Jimco single seat chassis, currently with a B series mated to a Fortin FRS 6 speed sequential. I was hoping to use the existing CWP. Hence the ask for a reverse rotation V6. The J series appears not to be a reverse rotation engine. I think you'll also find "reverse rotation" a standard term for the direction in which a B series runs.

 

yes. that's why i said it was relative. on a Honda site like this the majority of motors spin CCW. while in the automotive world as a whole CW rotation is most common.

the only others i can think of besides some Hondas that spin CCW are old air-cooled VWs. i'm not aware of any CCW V6 motors, though i'm sure they must exist.
