Honda motor in a VW????
I might just be on crack but i swear ive seen it... It was a GSR in a Cabriolet... Has anyone else heard of this or done anything like this.. My cus has a rabbit and i would really like to swap an ls/vtec.. If anyone has any info on this PLEASE let me know..

With enough time, money, and effort, there is no reason why you couldn't pull off something like this. Whether it is worth it is another matter. On the other hand, I think swapping an H22A into an old-school Bug would make one hell of a car!

On a similar note, have any of you guys ever seen one of the weird VW Beetles with a 350 Chevy V8 in the backseat?
I have heard of such a monster being built several times, they say it can actually jump like a cat when you take off (mythical of course).

i have seen it! crazy stuff
guy had to use the bottom of 55 gal drum for the oil pan or something crazy. dont quite remeber it was years ago

The biggest advantage in doing this would be the power to weight ratio. A Rabbit GTI weighs 1850 from the factory. I've seen race-prepped ones well into the 1500's. Now just imagine what a 200 hp all motor Honda motor would do in it? The only thing that really sucks about the Rabbit platform is the drag coefficient is somewhere in the neighborhood of .42 give or take.
