Default high temp problem.

I just replaced a head gasket on my turbocaharged b16. Now the temp goes past the half way mark after it warms up. Anything I can do to make the temp. go down?

Is it a thinner head gasket?

Also did you bleed the coolant system afterwards? Air might be trapped in there.
