HELP!!!!! White Smoke and Oil on spark plug
Ok, here is the story. Graduation night, after I got done, I went back to meet up with some friends to go out to dinner. They asked me to do a little burnout in the Type R. I have a 93 hatchback with a type r in it. Well I did my little burn out and it sounded like a WRX and I had white smoke coming out of the exhaust. So I was on my way to my house to take the type r home and get one of my other cars when my car went back to normal. So instead of taking it home, I went out to eat. After dinner I was on my way back home when it went back to sounding like a WRX and it had white smoke. Once I got home I checked all the spark plug wire to see if any of them came loose. I looked at the spark plugs and the one in the #3 cylinder had a little bit of oil on it and smelled like fuel. It starts up normal, no other problems that I know of. What should I do?
Yea I started the car today, still sounds like a WRX and I looked at my exhaust and there is alot of water coming from it. Could it be anything else other than the head gasket?????
sounds like a wrx?? HAHA. that just sounds funny. Not sure what makes a wrx stand out. I am only assuming that the car sounds like its missing. Good luck on finding out what it is. hope its not a valve. Wish I was a mechanic. Another bump bump bump for the answers.
nope, i drove home that night like that and i wasn't overheating. i did the test were you like the car idle and pull out the spark plug wires and the #1 and #2 were fine when I pulled them (idle dropped when they were pulled) but when I pulled #3 and #4 the idle kept steady, no drop at all. could it be a dizzy????

did you take off the oil cap and see if its mixing? indicating blown headgastket. or you could have burned a valve. i'd say its probably headgasket or burned valve.

Hey....those were my guesses. HAHA. But for reals...I hope someone can tell you what it is. Or you find out. I like to know these things also.

I checked for mixing.....pulled the dip stick, looks good to me. Oil is brown/black I am due for an oil change in about 1,000 miles. Hopefully its nothing too expensive and it won't hurt my motor. Damn LOL
i wonder if there is a way to see if it is a valve. Not saying it is. Cause I'm not a freakin mechanic. Just wouldnt want to see anything happen to the ride. *bump* for better answers.

check compression with a tester.

Ok, here is an update we checked compression up to the number 3 cylinder until we had a little fire. My number 3 cylinder was spitting out tons of fuel and my friend forgot to disconnect the dizzy and the spark plug wires, well spark and fuel don't mix......no worries I'm a firefighter and I took care of it, no damage was done just the s*** scarred out of us. We've come down to this, faulty fuel injector. The #3 cylinder is becoming so flooded with fuel, I can't even start my car due to all the compression. So what I am doing now is ordering a stock set of injectors and I had to suck all the fuel out of the cylinder and prolly due at least 2 oil changes to make everything good. The fuel was so bad, it got on my ceiling in my garage. So it'll be about another week till we are back working on it.
It's fixed finally, replaced all the fuel injectors and started up like a champ. Had to change the oil twice due to fuel in the cylinder but its all good. Thank you all for your help!
Ok so i had the same exact problem!!! i purchased a 97 civic with a b16a2 and had a p28 ecu.....well the second night i had it i was with some friends and my car did the same thing....sounded exactly like a wrx....turns out one of the wires going to the ecu was disconnected....the prong for that wire broke....it took me hours to figure out what it was but definetely check to see if thats your problem.....lmk
