HELP! H22 EG, STIFF/JERKY THROTTLE
just got this car last week, its a 93 civic hatch w/ h22a swap. when i give it gas it jerks forward, not smooth. it wont keep a steady rpm when driving, keeps accelerating. i know its got torque but this is rediculous. im guessing its a tps problem or throttle cable problem. anybody ever had the same problem?
Does your pedal feel smooth or is it sticky? If you feel reisitance and jerkyness in your pedal you might need to clean out your throttle body, they are known to gum up.
Make sure your throttle cable is not kinked as well. if your throttle body is sticking, clean it, but make sure you dont spray the cleaner into the TPS side. Did that one time and cause the idle to fluctuate at 900-1300
