Default help! fuel issue with my gsr

Hey guys i have a 92 GSR. In the morning i can sometimes hear a spiratic clicking noise comming from the injectors or maybe the pressure regulator but it goes away. No i do not believe its a valve. I am also running a bit lean. The guy before me installed a walbro 255lph fuel pump when the stock one kicked the bucket. I was talking with a buddy from lordco and he figures that the stock regulator is having a hard time dealing with all the extra pressure from the new fuel pump and it what is making that clicking noise and the reason the ecu is making it run lean. I dont think its worth getting stock fuel pump and paying someone to install it so i was thinking i should get an aftermarket pressure regulator and fuel rail (since u cant put an aftermarket regulator on stock rail). Someone also told me it could be the dizzy but its brand new! What do you guys think? Has anyone else had this problem before?

you most certainly can put an aftermarket regulator on a stock rail, and im pretty sure the fuel pump wouldnt push so hard it would cause a clicking noise.. if you can install a FPR and a fuel rail you should have no problem with putting in a stock fuel pump.. has it always made that clicking noise? you should be more worried about the running lean.. it can cause problems with many things..
