I had my check engine light on since diesel was put though the motor. (don't ask) well, the code 67 came up. (cat converter deterioration or O2 sensor). I got the fuel lines cleaned and I've presently changed the cat converter with a Random Technology cat (which by the way, sucks since the heat shield started vibrating after 2-3 days after install but none the less, should do it's job) and changed both O2 sensors, a factory Honda one in the front and a Boch on for the back... but the engine light is still on!

what else might it be? what else can diesel distroy? can it be an ECU problem? maybe changing the ECU could help? maybe the new cat sucks? any suggestions would be highly appriciated.

i had the same code, when i ran racing gas and octane boosters ate up my cat. The radom tech cat, might be throwing the same code, since it's OBD II, and it recognizes a change in airflow, or filtration, not sure exactly how it works, but the o2 sensor on the cat, probably, has to have a certain reading and if the aftermarket cat is too leanient with this, it will throw the code. this probably made absolutely no sense, sorry. if it doesn't help all i know is i had the same code come up, replaced the old cat with new OEM cat, problem fixed, light gone.

 

Remove the secondary o2 and plug the hole. It will read clean air and assume everything is good. It will not throw a code as long as you dont unplug it. Just mount it safely so it doesnt get damaged.

 

wow, can I really do that? what's the point of the O2 sensor on the cat if it's not even plugged in though? thanks for your help.

Seriously though, OBDI engines only use one O2 sensor.....before the cat.

Just OBDII that uses 2. And that is to make sure that the cat is working. If it isn't then they throw the code that you have.

Have you tried getting the engine really warm.....i.e. a nice fun drive....then clearing the code and driving some more to see if the code comes back? If it doesn't you know that your cat needs to be wrapped to "light off" faster.......
