i'm bleeding the rear drums and when the brakes are pumped or depressed nothing goes into or out of the container. when the brakes are pumped are they supposed to enter or leave the container? thanks need help pls
If you are talking about the reservoir that's on the master cylinder, then as you pump the brakes the fluid level should drop. I just bled my system a few days ago. As you pump the level drops quite a bit. It helps to have two people. One to pump and another to look at the fluid exiting the brake caliper and to make sure your reservoir doesn't go dry.

I don't mean to sond like a dick, but are you bleeding them the correct way? If there is a lot of air in the line then the fluid won't go down very much until you get all of that air out of there.
Push brake pedal
Open bleeder valve until pedal goes to floor
Close bleeder valve
Release brake pedal
Repeat.

got it guys. i'm done bleeding all four. it's weird, after a long while of bleeding and bleeding when there aren't any bubbles left, it comes back after double and triple checking the lines for air. but thanks for the replies.
