Default help with ball joint

I need to know if this is normal.

I recently popped out ball joint to remove my axis. At first I tried the BFH method. Thats was 2 hours of futility. Then I tried the "jack and wedging the handle part breaker bar" and pop. It took minutes to do both right and left.

My question is:

is it normal of the ball joint boot to ooze grease.? I inspected the boot and it is in good looking condition, but if I squeeze on it grease will ooze out of the boot and down the bolt holding the ball joint. Is this normal? Is it suppose to have a tight seal like the CV boots to prevent grease leaks??

If it's leaking out the side of the boot, then the boot is cracked and it should be replaced soon so you don't have to replace the entire ball joint. If it's leaking where the bolt goes through, then it's fine (as long as it's not a ton of grease).

As for removing balljoints in the future, go buy a pickle fork for $15. You should be able to pop the joints in a few seconds with one (and it will prevent you from ripping boots). Also, another tip: when reassembling, put grease on the shaft of the balljoint. This will make removing them in the future very easy.
