headgasket? or something more serious
d17a1 freshly rebuilt...all honda genuine gaskets, rings and bearings
going up a hill just cruising and i start to slow down...so i give it some gas and it won't go anywhere...flooring it in second and it won't go any faster than 35 and it started to sound like a diesel engine...weird knocking sounds...pull up into my garage to check things out...oil and coolant mixed everywhere...
new honda headgasket with copper spray...torqued in sequence to the recommended spec...start the car back up and it still knocks but only at very light throttle and there is a lot of air coming out of the valve cover...only modifications are a fidanza flywheel and an exedy ceramic clutch....
i rebuilt the motor and broke it in for 500 miles...any ideas?

aw sorry to hear that. that sounds like a cracked head. knocking could be caused by damage from running with coolant. you are lucky it isnt seized. take it apart, and eyeball everything, thats the only way cuz theres a few things it could be.
