I would recommend a header first. You will notice a fairly larger gain compared to an after market cat.

After that you might want to look into increasing fuel pressure/volume.

a cat converter is a complete waste unless you run forced induction or your car is a mildly tuned NA motor... and its illegal to replace your cat converter unless it needs replacing...and i doubt a 00 civic ex would already have a problem with the cat..

so get yourself a header

and make sure if your not putting alot of power down then go with like a 4-2-1, you wont lose as much torque, 4-1 creates more high end hp, but it depends on what your goals are, also a straight through cat will definately make you lose torque, and with our hondas that is something we want to hold on to.
so yeah i say header and leave your cat alone

Haha, lol

newbie mistake number one, calling a header with plural.

I read some article about some guy who said he was going to get intakes and headers before turbo, but intakes create more hp than a turbo.

I told the person to kill himself.

Anyway, to stay on subject, have you picked put a header brand yet? I would also recommend 4-2-1, even though I run 4-1 - I like the high end power!
