I have a 92 ed hatch VX and i went out to my car one morning started it up and everythig was working fine. then about a minute later everything on the gauge cluster but the lights stopped working. i checked all the fuses and relays that might have something to do wiht the gauge cluster and no fuses were bad.... so now i am at a total loses and need some ideas.......

me too man. sucks huh? ny blinkers dont werk either. its gotta be a relay. check ur main relay under your dash on the driver side near the fuse box. it is grey and says mitsuba on it. its a 7 pin. i'm gonna check mine soon and borrow a frends relay to see if it fixes the prob. n e honda one 88 n up should werk. lemme kno how it goes.

if n e 1 is still watching this thread, I found the problem to my car. It turns out that my reverse plug that comes out of the tranny and connects to the engine harness shorted out the fuse for my backup lights. If the wire is showing a little bit and it grounds oit self out by touching the tranny or just metal, it will blow the fuse. It sounds weird that that would cause the cluster to stop working, but I am thinking that fuse is in line with the connections that run to the cluster. I am going to check my wiring diagrams to be sure.

But anyway, there you go. If your gauges all die at the same time like mine, check that fuse for your backup lights!

I know you said that you checked your fuses, but check that one fuse. I checked and changed my fuse for the cluster, and it wasn't the problem, and how was I to know that the backup light fuse would cause all this, but there you have it.

Hope it works out for you.
