I just replaced my rings and after everything was put back together it is now hard to get the the crank turning.
It is pretty hard to get turning but immediately after it starts turning it turns with the normal resistance
Is this normal?

 

Did you install new bearings?

 

no i didnt

 

would this be because i just used motor oil and not assembly lube?

 

It coiuld be, are you sure the thrust washers and bearings were installed properly? You said you reused them, any chance you mixed up locations?

 

i will check everything again but i think everything is done the way it should
