Has anyone Used an Aftermarket Speedo and Tach in place of the Stock Guage Cluster. Meaning Totally eliminating the Stock Cluster, All Aftermarket guages. I have my CRX apart for the Winter and have the spare $$ and wouldn't mind trying it. Anyone done this? If so how did you do it?

I've seen it done. Basically make a plate to replace the stock cluster out of abs, carbon fiber, etc... and mount your gauges into that. I haven't seen any that retain the odometer though.

 

I have easy access to Carbon Fiber Sheets, I am more concerned about CELs that would follow as the Cluster isnt seeing the Speedo or Tach hooked up, or is this even a problem. I don't like Shift Lights or Aftermarket Tachs...Mounted elsewhere, Theft is a concern and with my guages in place of the Stock Cluster it wouldnt be something you would see at a glance.

Anybody done this?
