gsr w/ b16 tranny?
ok im looking to buy another car, and from what ive always heard gsr trannys have better ratios then b16 tranny. a few of the cars i have been looking at have b16 trannys on their gsr. is that good? bad? what? why???
You can search around for probably many topics on this.
But for the most part, the B16 has somewhat shorter gearing of the two (but both have the same final drive ratio and first gear).
Now... what this means is 1) the car's acceleration is generally and theoretically speaking quicker and 2) you'll be cruising at a higher RPM at said speed with the B16 tranny, resulting in somewhat of a lower gas mileage.
Search, and then pick which you think will benefit you the most. They are good transmissions none the less.
