Default gsr intake manifold on b16

alright i have a b16 and i was wondering if a gsr intake manifold would make anymore power if i bolt it on my motor. my friend is selling his gsr and he wanted to know if i wanted anything off of it. we are going to swap intake manifolds if they will both fit on each others motors.

No it will not make any more power, compare the runners on the b16 to the gsr. the gsr has 4 extra butterfly! If you want to gain about 5-8 hp get a ITR manifold or a Skunk2 manifold($350-400.) and get a bigger throtlle body!

1. the gsr p72 manifold doenst fit on the b16 head.
2. you would only gain mid range power, and maybe even lose top end.
3. just get a p30 del sol vtec, itr manifold or one from skunk

I actually heard great things about a gsr manifold on a b16; helps midrange a bunch and i dont think you loose top end since the short runners on the gsr manifold are almost the same as the b16's.
You got to modify the mani. a little to fit.
I dont know if the p73 manifold wound help with stock cams

I have a skunk2 intake (ITR clone) with a JG Edlebrock 65MM throttle body, I don't have my new cams yet or my 4-1 JUN header on the car yet but I noticed good increaces in wupper end power with no loss of bottom end drivibility. True this is based solely on butt dyno results and those are know to be inaccurate. This is on a B1A1 (1st gen SiR)
